How To Overcome Your Fears of Failure and Accelerate Success.
Fear, Failure, Success, Experience are the part of life. The one who understand this win the game, who don’t understand fail to win. By Thinking & observing the certain point of life it is clarified that Fear of failure, loosing, scare everything enter into a person by practicing it. No one is born with fears. A child doesn’t know about the rule of this world, it’s rules, he even doesn’t know how he is surviving on this planet, what we called this planet, any relationship, casts, Nature, Behavior, Value of life, Value of winning, value of success, Value of Failure, Value of Fair. The child knows nothing. He is totally blank. But as he starts growing he starts learning. Learning by practicing. He learns everything from his society, friend, parents, atmosphere etc.
The word good or bad both are used by us but what would happen if we would remove the Bad word from our dictionary? it’s impossible. Yes we can’t remove because where it is good, there is bad, if there is the day there is night if there is profit there is loss and this is the rule of nature.
But my simple point is we just make a person learning, good or bad, loose or win, failure or success, fear, scare etc all by experience. We make a child learn that if there is dark we need to scare if he would loose the match he would be criticized in the society if he wins he would be appreciated. We make him understand that he can not fight with a person healthier than him. And these all become in practice as the child grows and faces the life. These all create a negative point towards the life in his mind.
He starts concentrating on winning as loosing will harm him, he starts thinking of profit as if he would loose he would go negative and will be criticized by the society. These all create a fear inside him. He starts scaring from loosing. He starts himself stopping for the work which doesn’t guarantee for % success. And thus a fear, anger, failure starts inside a person.
The seed of Fear of Failure, Loosing, Scariness is fertilized from childhood.
These fears cause people to avoid a risk of any kind and to reject opportunity when it is presented to them. They are so afraid of failure that they are almost paralyzed when it comes to taking any chances at all.
Types of Fear:
Fear can be of several types. Given below is some example:
- Fear of loosing: Love, Money, Friend, Family, Jobs, House etc.
- Fear of Failure to achieve success
- Fear of loosing the opportunity
- Fear of losing business
- Fear of death
- Fear of rejection and criticism of any kind.
- Fear of embarrassment or ridicule.
- Fear of loss of respect or esteem of others.
There is so many similar fear which stop and hold a person back towards the opportunity, Success.
A technique to Overcome:
The simple point is if we are entering into the house by the door, then we exit also by the door. So if Fear of failure, loosing comes by practicing then it can be replaced into winning, success by practicing and it is fortunate.
Self-discipline is mandatory here to convert your failure into success. Self-discipline plays the vital role to achieve success. You can go with any successful people’s biography everybody has maintained the self-discipline. It is equivalent to medicine when we got ill. We go to the doctor and take medicine as advised when we don’t feel good. But we need not go to the doctor if we take proper diet, regular care of ourselves. Similarly, if you practice Self-discipline, you hug Success rather than failure.
The most common reaction in a fear situation is the attitude of, “I can’t!”
This is the fear of failure that stops us from taking action. It is experienced physically, starting in the pit of your stomach.
When people are really afraid, their mouth and throat go dry, their heart starts pounding. Sometimes they breathe shallowly and their stomach churns.
These are all physical manifestations of the inhibitive negative habit pattern, which we all experience from time to time.
Utilization of Brain Power
Whenever a person is in the grip of fear, he feels like a deer caught in the headlights of a car. This fear paralyzes action. It often shuts down the brain and causes the individual to revert to the “fight-or-flight” reaction.
Fear is a terrible emotion that undermines our happiness and can hold us back throughout our lives.
Self Control & Confidence
By visualizing yourself performing with confidence and competence in an area where you are fearful, your visual image will eventually be accepted by your subconscious mind as instructions for your performance.
Your self-image, the way you see yourself and think about yourself, is eventually altered by feeding your mind these positive mental pictures of yourself performing at your best.
Confront Your Fears Immediately
Your ability to confront, deal with, and act in spite of your fears is the key to happiness and success.
One of the best exercises you can practice is to identify a person or situation in your life of which you are afraid and resolve to deal with that fear situation immediately.
Do not allow it to make you unhappy for another minute. Resolve to confront the situation or person and put the fear behind you.
Facing the situation Approach
The only way to deal with a fear is to address it head-on.
Remind yourself that, “Denial” is not a river in Egypt.
The natural tendency of many people is to deny that they have a problem caused by fear of some kind. They’re afraid of confronting it. In turn, it becomes a major source of stress, unhappiness, and psychosomatic illness.
Be willing to deal with the situation or person directly.
As Shakespeare said, “Take arms against a sea of troubles, and in so doing, end them.”
When you force yourself to face any fear-inducing situation in your life, your self-esteem goes up, your self-respect increases and your sense of personal pride grows.
You eventually reach the point in life where you are not afraid of anything.
